Are You Giving Your Body The Proper Nutrition? Food Matters

Husky Girl

Ever since I was 8 years old, I have struggled with a weight problem.  I had become “husky” as my well-meaning family affectionately called me.  I started to diet and watch my calories.  I soon became aware of what I was suppose to eat and what I was not suppose to eat.  I seemed to eat less and less, and still I would gain weight.  I also started to have health challenges along the way.

Lack of Proper Nutrition

I never really thought I wasn’t getting proper nutrition, because I ate a lot of low calorie foods and a lot of fruits and vegetables.  What I didn’t realize was I was starving myself and my body had gone into the “survival” mode!  I started to exercise like crazy and I only got bigger. 😥  Hmmm, I didn’t know what to do.

Proper Nutritional Supplementation

Fortunately when I started my home based business, it was with one of the top health & nutrition companies in the world.  I was told to take some nutritional shakes & supplements.  I followed the instructions and my weight just started to melt off!  It was incredible!  What I had learned was that my body had been starving for the proper nutrition all these years, and as soon as I gave my body what it needed, my metabolism and everything else in my body started to function the way it should.  Wow, I thought, doesn’t that make sense!!  And of course, I wanted everyone to know I had found the solution to losing weight & good health!  It was amazing! 😀

Fast Food For Smart People

Today, with all of the fast food, processed foods, snack foods, etc, it’s no wonder our body’s are breaking down.  Your body just needs what we all learned in school, the proper nutrition.  Unfortunately, it’s tough to get the proper nutrition from regular foods today.  Supplementation has become essential to good health because food does matter.

Powerful video Kellie! Although I have never had a weight problem it’s really important that people understand and receive the education why supplementation is very important.

    Dear Kellie,
I hope that your own personal story that you share here will be heard by millions. I cannot fathom what it must of felt like growing up since the age of eight and being over-weight. What that must’ve felt like emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I remember you said, that the kids used to fight over who wouldn’t want you on their team to play? My heart goes out to the millions of kids who are now overweight. I am now coaching two teens, a sixteen year old who is over two hundred pounds and a fourteen year old female who is about the same. And this is only two! I believe we are really behind here on education with nutrition. I pray that parents would begin their own journey to good health, so that they can leave a great example for their kids and stop stuffing them up with foods like McDonald’s, Burger King, and Jack in a Box.
It gives me great hope that with a great company like ours, we are making those changes.

    Love you much,

Mahalo Shannon for your compassion! I have to admit, it took me a long time to tell those childhood stories. Most of us just keep them hidden inside. Thank you for sharing. I hope others will hear and know that there is a solution and we have it. Aloha 🙂

    Hi Kellie,
Your health is definitely your wealth! After reviewing this article, what stands out for me is how many people still continue to be misinformed about how to prevent and/or address personal health challenges to include obesity. This at times can be extremely frustrating for overweight or obese individuals as they really do not know what to do. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information as surely this will shed some light to others about the importance of nutrition and to avoid falling into the routine of following common myths of weight loss and other misguided practices.
