How A Home Based Business Can Eliminate Stress During The Holidays

Are You A Scrooge During The Holidays?

Are you wondering how you are going to get everything done this holiday season?  Does that stress you out or do you become a Scrooge during this time of year?  I used to be so stressed when I was working 14 hrs/day in the corporate world and I had to fit in shopping, gift wrapping, sending cards, parties, preparing food, and everything else that went along with the holidays!  I was a big Scrooge! 😡

My Home Based Business Gave Me Time

Once I started my home based network marketing business and quit my job, I was able to spend more time planning for the holidays and I started to really enjoy this time of year.  I realized I had 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week, and I could plan when to work my home business, when to shop, wrap gifts, etc. There are 168 hrs/wk and even if I work 40 hrs/wk on my business, I still have 128 hrs of free time each week!  Wow!  That’s a lot of spare time! 😆

Here’s a video explaining what really happened:

    Hi Kellie,

I too am blessed to be able to work at home.

Running a home based opportunity has been the most freeing experience of my life. I used to work in a shipping terminal; loads of overtime, 100 hour weeks at times, etc.

If you are willing to put in the time to set up your home based gig and keep it running you can eliminate a great deal of stress from your life.

Thanks for sharing and have a powerful day!

    Hi Kellie:
I totally agree with you on the freedoms entrepreneurs enjoy during the holidays and year-round… Having a home-based business has enabled me to truly design my life around what’s important to me. Now that I am home, one of the biggest benefits is not having to drag myself to go back to work the next day after spending a wonderful holiday with my children and family. A defining moment for me four years ago was having to return to work after spending nearly two wonderful weeks of vacation at home with my young children. As I dropped my daughter off at preschool before I went to work, she refused to get out of the car and crying hysterically, begged me to take her home. I tried unsuccessfully to console her that I was coming back, but she cried even harder. I decided that day that my job was no longer going to take precedence over my child’s emotional well-being and my desire to be the mother she deserved. I signed my application to start my home-based business that same day. Thank you for inspiring me and countless others all over again by taking the path less traveled so that you could be home with your son.:) In gratitude, Deb

    Aloha Debra,
So nice to see you here on our blog. I am so happy you are home with your children and showing them that they are important! It makes all the difference in the world. Thank you for your kind comments. 🙂

    Kellie,
So many people allow stress to rule their lives. I agree that corporate America does not help in this manner. The push to earn, earn, earn & keep your job throws a huge wrench in the lives of many. So much better having the ability to chose my own path through being an entrepreneur.

Great lifeline to those who wish to develop their own life plan.
    Val 🙂

kellie, i could NEVER imagine you a scrooge! but then, i didn’t know you before MLM! 😛

i’ve changed too. the biggest improvement over the holidays has been having the time to spend with family, rather than just the 2 obligatory days off i would get from my company when i was working in corporate american (and surely i blew my 2 weeks vacation time on other trips during the year!). i leave for “home” (my parent’s house!) next week for 8 days… i can’t wait!

  10. Kellie Hosaka Says:

    Aloha Melissa,
So great to see you back online! Yes, congratulations on your decision to be free! Isn’t it amazing to be able to make your own schedule and determine how long you want to “go on vacation”! I love it! Much aloha 🙂

Sometimes the safe job route can be less stressful because you don’t have to walk that plank of your own business. That choice brings other stress circumstances. Your time is not your time, your income is not in your control…

Owning your own business, puts the responsibility squarely on your shoulders. Once that decision is made and you dive in to succeed no matter what, the benefits are incredible.

My wish is for everyone to experience that. But in the end it’s not for everyone. I wish it was.
