Make This Year Your Best Year Ever – Take Action and Be Accountable

Making 2011 Your Best Year EverAre You Getting Into Action To Make This Your Best Year Ever?

We are giving you the 4 steps which are crucial to making this year, your best year ever, and ensuring your success in business and in life.  This is Step 3 – Taking Action and Being Accountable.  If you missed Step 1 – Decide and Visualize, please click on 5 Minutes A Day Can Transform You To Have Your Best Year Ever″, and Step 2 – Designing Your Plan.

Reviewing Step 1 – Decide & Visualize

How has your visualization sessions been over the past week?  Are you feeling incredible?  Are you seeing that everything you want for your next Christmas is possible?  Remember this step is essential to your success!  Jim Rohn said “What’s easy to do is easy not to do”, and this very simple step is usually the one most people won’t do each day.  Ask any really successful person if they do some form of visualization or meditation each day, and you’ll find this to be a common denominator with all of them.

Reviewing Step 2 – Designing Your Plan

Do we have our plan mapped out for the rest of the year?  This is very important.  If we were ready to “take off” in an airplane without a map of where we are going, then we are going to be flying aimlessly in the air.  Does this sound familiar?  I can tell you I have done this and I found myself “in action”, without a plan, and therefore, I didn’t get to where I wanted to go. 🙄

Step 3 – Taking Action

Now that you know what you want and how it feels to be there, and you have “mapped” out the plan to get there, all we have to do now, is determine the details of what must be accomplished this month.  Then we can break it down to the week, and then the day.  For example, if we wanted to make $5,000 this month, then we would make $1,250/week, and if we worked 6 days/week, then we would make $208.33 per day.

Being Accountable

Once we have a detailed plan, keeping daily gauges will be necessary.  For example, if our goal for Monday was to make $209 per day and we only made $100 on Monday, then on Tuesday, we must make the $209 for Tuesday + the $109 we were short on Monday which = $318 for Tuesday.  If we are short for the next day, we must stay accountable and by the end of the week, we must make the $1,250.  Keeping yourself accountable is imperative to creating a new habit.

Having A Mentor To Keep You Accountable

It’s not easy staying accountable to oneself, therefore, I have found when I hold myself accountable to a mentor who has “walked the path” before me, I tend to stay accountable.  I also feel supported when I am struggling to establish new habits and beliefs.   😀

Now you have your homework for this week.  Pull out your gauge sheets and keep yourself accountable.  Keep on doing the 5 minute exercise every morning, then focus on your plan.  Next week we will take you through Step 4 of this 4 part series on The Steps To Ensure Success This Year.

We would love to hear your comments on our article and how you are moving forward on your plan.  Also, if you would like to declare your plan and how you are going to be accountable here on our blog, we would love for you to share with all of us.  May we ask you to click the “f share” button at the top of the article, to share on Facebook or “retweet” this on Twitter?

    Kellie,

Wow, you make it all sound so easy! I believe there are many people who really don’t know exactly what they want. They may say “I want financial freedom”, or something to that effect, but they don’t sit down and define clear goals that they can picture in their minds.

If you don’t know what it is you really want, it’s impossible to take the next step and break it down into the steps that you’ll need to take.

I hear over and over that these are the 2 most important actions we all must take to create the lives we wish to have. Honestly, I haven’t done a very good job at this myself. Thanks for the kick in the butt. I needed it, and will take the time to get back to basics.

    Aloha,

    Aloha Kathy,
I know what you mean and I’ve definitely fallen into that too. All I know is as Jim Rohn says “what’s easy to do is easy not to do” and it’s so true. Success leaves tracks and all truly successful people do the same foundational things everyday! Once I really did what they did, magic happens! Glad we helped you today! Aloha 🙂

mentorship is in the air! i wrote about it, we “tribed” about it yesterday, diane hochman wrote about it, and you wrote about it this week too. must be a message from the universe to little ol’ me: step up as a mentor!

had a great conversation with my she-mentor (whom you dearly know) this AM and it made me so appreciative of all the support we have in our business. what is it about mentors? they know EXACTLY what to say at the right time. i think the value is having someone outside of ourselves that has been there before.

    thanks again kellie! <3

Kellie – I love the quote by jim Rohn – SO true!! And I agree with Kathy, to those of us spending time on our own development, this all makes sense. But so many people sleep walk through their lives and wonder what happened. this types of steps really help all of of focus on a deliberate path.

    Thanks!

Hi Kellie, I agree, visualizing is paramount to success. It’s something I didn’t know about for many years of my life, and so I thought more about the things I didn’t want. Now that I’m thinking about what I really want, those things come to me!

    Kellie,
Love how you’re taking this step by step to help empower people to step into their greatness and move forward to their dreams. I’ve not always kept this in front of me, but I do know the power it holds. A mentor or accountability partner is almost a must if you’re serious about staying on the upside of things.

This all fits together in such easy terms. No reason not to take action and follow through now!
