Surrender, Synchronicity and Success

Did You Know Surrendering Can Lead To Success?

Do you know what “surrendering” really means?  I didn’t.  I thought it was all about working hard and following my plan.    It is, in the beginning, however, there comes a time, if you surrender, success appears much faster!

“God can dream a bigger dream for me, for you, than you could ever dream for yourself.  When you’ve worked as hard and done as much and strived and tried and given and pled and bargained and hoped…surrender. When you have done all that you can do, and there’s nothing left for you to do, give it up.  Give it up to that thing that is greater than yourself, and let it then become a part of the flow.”
— Oprah

Being In Flow and Synchronicity

Oprah says once you have done all you can do, then surrender!  Give it up to the Universe and release any attachment to the outcome.  This will cause you to be “in flow” and synchronicities will start to appear.

Here’s a video explaining how Surrender = Synchronicity = Success:

    Aloha Kellie,
Great post, and questions to ponder. You asked me “what does it mean to surrender?” Before spiritual and personal growth, “surrender” hadn’t even entered my consciousness or even my vocabulary. Surrender entered my awareness only as I started to experience the work hard, strive to be the best, give it all I got, forced actions and then “nothing.” That is when me as the student, the teacher appeared and the concept of “surrender” showed itself to me. The act of being. I believe it was Eckhart Tolle, in the Power of Now, that made me aware of the concept. I love what Oprah quoted. Whenever I need to remind myself of what surrender looks, feels or sounds like, I remember how Oprah wanted so badly the role in The Color Purple, and when she finally decided to give it up by singing “I Surrender All” poof! like magic, her request was approved. Yes, it is awe inspiring, learning how to relinquish “control” over any situation.

    Hey there Kellie,

I enjoyed this so much, because I have always been a “take charge” person…AND for the first time in my life, when I joined Herbalife, 20 years ago I always felt God had put me right where I belong.

I bookmarked it for me to read over and over again. I love the vibration of how it feels when I say the word SYNCHRONICITY because it has a powerful vibrational kind of momentum tone to it.

    Aloha Shannon!
Thank you for your kind comments! I think of Oprah doing times of surrender too. Her story about her experience with wanting the “Color Purple” role so badly and then surrendering to the thought of not getting the role and feeling good about someone else getting it…Wow! I love that we all have our journey to truly “walk our talk”. As we keep on moving forward and push through our own challenges, then and only then do we inspire others to do the same. Thank you for sharing. Aloha :)

“Surrender” has always been a two-edged sword for me ~ I always feel an underlying tone of defeat, helplessness, loss.

Perhaps that’s why I push so hard ….

    Great questions, Kellie.
And a lot to think about.

    Aloha Jacqui!

I know what you mean…I felt that way too…until I heard Oprah talk about how she had done all she could to get the part in “The Color Purple” and then she just surrendered and kept on asking to be okay with not getting the part. Then as soon as she felt good…the phone call came saying she got the part. Wow! That’s surrender. Glad we gave you some things to ponder on. Much love :)
