Virtual Reality…Just Games Or Real Life Business Application?

Virtual-Reality-Game-150x150Virtual Reality Isn’t Just Play Anymore.  With The Unprecedented Growth Of On-line Communication, It Will Be The Successor Of The Telephone And Reduce Air Travel.  Theoretical Physicist and Best Selling Author Michio Kaku, tells us and shows us how virtual reality will bring people around the world together in a “virtual world”.  People are already doing it in an application called “Second Life” and there are many other virtual worlds currently being created.

The implications for business and future revenues can be huge!

According to Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT) who is the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, “Video Telepresence Will Replace 2.1 Million Airline Seats Per Year by 2012, Losing the Travel Industry $3.5 billion annually. The challenge of current world economic conditions is set to drive uptake of video telepresence in the next three years, with the travel industry losing out, according to Gartner Inc.  Gartner analysts predict that high-definition based video meeting solutions will replace 2.1 million airline seats annually, costing the travel and hospitality industry US$3.5 billion per year.”

    Wow! This is very cool information. To me it’s all about preparation for these things to come. And if the airline industry will be taking a loss, then people in that industry should not be surprised when this time does come, if not already doing so today and prepare. Prepare as Jim Rohn would say and many successful thought leaders today would say, so you don’t take a big hit. Many suffer because they “ignore” these signs and just wait until it does happen.
    Kellie, leaders like you are so incredible and I appreciate you for your constant education and updates on information. Over the years you have made us so aware of these changes long before they took place and we were prepared. Unfortunately, I feel I could’ve done better in sharing this information with others so that they could have the advantage that we who listened are experiencing today.
