Why Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Teamwork Makes The Dream WorkYou’ve Decided To Work With A Team To Fulfill Your Dreams

We are at the 3rd fork on our Road To Success.  If you missed the 1st decision on your Road To Success, click on Is Social Media Marketing, Internet Marketing and Network Marketing Confusing? (click on title), and the 2nd decision on your Road To Success, Now That You’ve Decided To Be An Entrepreneur, What’s The Next Step? (click on title).

Our 1st decision was to become an entrepreneur, our 2nd decision was to work with a team, and now our 3rd decision is to decide which team to work with or which company.  By the way, if your 2nd decision was to work alone, you may want to continue reading to have some information for the future.

Cooperation Or Competition

Our current education system encourages students to work alone and in college we are working against our classmates because most college classes grade on a “curve”, which means if our friend gets a 99%, our friend just caused our grade to go down.  Also, in the job world, if there was a Manager position open, many employees competed for that position.  If my friend got the position and we both applied, I lost the position.  In school and in the job market, we are taught competition instead of cooperation.  On the Road To Success, long term happiness and success is always a result of cooperation because nobody really wins if someone has to lose. 🙁

Win-Win Or Win-Lose

When I started my home based network marketing business, I was taught that we all worked as a team, and they encouraged everyone to get promoted.  In fact, my sponsor encouraged me to go to a “higher position” in our company than himself! 😯  This shocked me initially because I didn’t understand that in the network marketing world, and in the entrepreneurial world that Robert Kiyosaki talks about, you work as a TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More).  It is through cooperation that people and companies truly win because it’s win-win!  Both sides win, there is no loser.  I love working as a team because I knew that I was good at only a few things, and other complicated topics “went over my head” 🙄  It was such a relief to me when I found out that I was good enough, because I could always find others who were good at things I was very weak in. 😀   At first it felt like cheating 😎 , you know like copying someone’s test paper in school, however, I was assured that it was Teamwork!!  Yeah!! 😆

Choosing Your Company Or Team

If we go back to our goals which we completed in the 2nd decision on our Road To Success, we will see our life’s plan in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, etc., and our decision will become very clear as to what we are looking for.

Here’s a video of what I believe is important in choosing a company and your future:

Are we are seeing how the pieces are starting to come together?  Our 1st decision was Entrepreneur or Employee, then our 2nd decision was Work Alone or with a Team, then our 3rd decision is What Company matches our requirements and goals for our future.  Pretty simple huh? 😀  Our last blog post in this 4 part series is titled “Dreams Can Come True By Following The Road To Success“.

Thank you! You lay it out so simply. In the begining I thought I had to work on my weakness and have to do it all. It wasn’t fun at all. Then I learned that if I focus on my strength and work with a team that has the same mission and utilize their strengths in areas that I was not quite good at the possibilities are amazing!

    Hi Kellie,

Super concept for any network marketer to impress upon their mind here. Those who operate on a competitive plane of thought reside above the competition. I also like your note in the video: only market products which you believe in 100%. This enthusiasm becomes contagious.

Thanks for sharing the insight and your cool vid 🙂 Have a super day!

Teamwork seems to be something talked about vigourously in our society while everyone is heavily competing with each other, its awesome to meet & work with people as a team, I’m sure many people like me are experiencing true teamwork for the first time in their lives when they move into working together in this way. Great post and well said.

  8. Kellie Hosaka Says:

    Aloha Anna,
Yes, I felt the same as you did when I moved from a job to becoming an entrepreneur. I needed the help and the team and I found it to be so much more fun when everyone is working towards the same goal. Thank you for your kind comments. Aloha 🙂

    Kellie,
Teamwork makes any task or goals more obtainable through cooperation and a pooling of ideas and resources. I agree that any model that produces win-win situations is so much more enriching than any win-lose.

Having a belief in your product or services is key! I love reading your steps along the road. Great value for all,

thank you kellie for another great post, and for highlighting team work. i spent months working my business independently, trying to “figure it all out” by myself, and figuring that i didn’t need mentors or coaches to reach my goals. how naive… the teamwork element of MLM is now my favorite part, and what’s better than climbing to the top than helping someone else get there, too?! i am so thankful for this biz… see you soon!

  16. Kellie Hosaka Says:

    Aloha Melissa,
Thank you for your kind comments. Teamwork is “Simply The Best” isn’t it! And I agree, it’s so much fun!! Yes, see you soon! 🙂

  17. Shannon Tecson Says:

Thank you Kellie for this post 😀
I am often reminded today using simple and profound analogies of teamwork. Just like our bodies have different members and all do different functions and without one or the other, we wouldn’t be able to perform a simple daily task. Much like those that make up an organization. Without one key person who can perform a task very well, and who makes up for a person who doesn’t have that trade, gift, skill or talent, there would be an imbalance.
Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
    With love and light,

You’re gonna hate me, I have worked it ass-backwards! I have no company nor products to sell at this point in my blogging. I am going with the flow of what is there for me at this time…I really don’t believe that there needs to be a point of sale on the onset of creating a social marketing presents. I just write at this point , and this is something I have never done before, so it’s kinda cool…for now. The people make all the difference. I can feel right off who is really making a difference and who is just dabbling about. Kellie , you are a great personality in the network of socializing. Thank you for your presents and for bringing great concepts to all of us who are searching for what would be of the greatest value to others.

    Aloha Kim,
You are such a lovable person, I could never not like you. You’re one of those people who make everyone smile & giggle! 🙂 And it’s all good, it always is because believe me, I’ve made so many mistakes over 15+ years and I’ve learned a lot from them. We’re just doing our best to possible save some people some time and all of the “detours” which we took and of course, are still falling into as we keep learning. I will say I have several very successful mentors to guide us, so we don’t stray too far from the “yellow brick road”!…heehee 🙂
You are just the kindest soul and I thank you for your comments. You will find what you are looking for because you have very valuable qualities and you will be successful! Aloha 🙂

  21. Paul Says:

I’ve learned the hard way, over many years and at great expense, that no one makes it alone. The value that can be created and the time that can be saved by working as part of a team is staggering.

By slowing down at first and finding the right group of people to include on your team, you will greatly increase the speed at which you accomplish the things you want to.

    Take care.
