The World Is Changing Fast, Ready To Become An Entrepreneur?

Becoming an EntrepreneurDo You Feel Like Business Is Changing?

Actually, do you feel like everything around you is changing?  I do and it’s changing at exponential rates today!  😯

Are You Changing With The World?

In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.Eric Hoffer.  This quote by Eric Hoffer is becoming true right before our eyes today as the internet, social media, mobile phones, video teleconferencing, etc are part of our daily lives and it keeps on growing at an exponential rate.

What Do We Do?

I believe we all have a purpose in life, and if we get quiet and really listen to our hearts, we know what we are being called to do.  We may be scared because we don’t know how we are going to start “walking down a new path”. However, if we don’t start walking down this new road, what will our life look like in 5 – 10 years?

Let’s Go Into The Future

Take out a piece of paper and draw a line vertically down the middle.  On the left side, write on the top “You Don’t Change”, on the right side, “You Change”.  Now list the important parts of your life, namely: 1) Career, 2) Financial, 3) Relationships, 4) Health, 5) Spirituality.

Imagine 5 years have gone by and everything in the world has changed.  Each person will be compensated based on their productivity and true contribution to the entire world. 😯  Now, what happens on the left column of your paper if you keep on doing what you are currently doing, verses on the right column, where you changed and started to learn valuable skills 5 years ago?   🙄

Just Something To Ponder On

I know some of you are thinking, how can that happen? 🙄   And I am not saying that it will, I am saying it’s just something to ponder on and if things are changing so fast in the world, shouldn’t we be changing to?

Here’s a video about “Taking The Leap”:

Aloha Kellie, wonderful post and video and I luv that analogy about the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly. Gosh my mind still can’t comprehend how the transformation develops in this instance, but I suppose that is how we develop over time once we decide to make the change. Glad I came be and thanks for sharing! Mahalo, Lani 🙂

    Aloha Lani,
Thank you for your great comments! Yes, the mind isn’t suppose to figure it out…that’s the key. The how will come if the why is strong enough. Much aloha 🙂

    Hi Kellie,

    Excellent reminder here.

Hoffer’s quote is 1 one of faves. Change is inevitable. We choose to go with the flow and change with it, or we resist change, and remain learned.

You can’t trump the basic law of nature but you can work with it. Don’t fight change. Accept it.

Adopt the mindset of an entrepreneur. Be nimble. See opportunities opening moment after moment. That’s what life is: one opportunity opening up after another. That’s all. Be quick to embrace these opportunities and you will live a full, happy life.

Thanks for sharing your insight Kellie.

Kellie – what can I say? As all of us who can see you, who recognise your purpose in our lives, move from the old world into the new – its scary for us – because it is the land of the unknown. But you are like a huge rock there in the new world waiting for us – to steady & shelter us as we change from caterpillars to butterflies. We all know that it is us individually who create our own lives but it is good to have someone who knows to guide us, be there to help us up when we fall and to unconditionally love us.
Thank you for all you have done & continue to do for me and for so many more. <3

    Aloha Annette,
Thank you for your faith and your kind comments. As you know we are all “called” to our purpose at some point in our lives and I believe you have been called too. It can be scary in the cocoon of the caterpillar, however, the metamorphosis into a butterfly is spectacular! Developing wings to soar is a gift like no other. You are soon to have wings which are very fully developed as you go on to help many more. With love & gratitude. 🙂

Yes what a eye opening post!

The world is indeed changing on so many levels! We must continue to learn, grow and give value to others in order to keep up!

I feel like such a perfect example of this. Less then a year ago I had no clue how to do much of anything on the internet. Now I have learned and developed skills that serve others and will pay me for a lifetime…

We must force ourselves to stay focused and keep learning in this world that is rapidly changing!

Thanks for such inspirational words of wisdom Kellie!
