Are You Feeling Overwhelmed?
If you are, you are not alone and the good news is, it’s a sign that you are ready to move forward. Really! 😆
How Can Overwhelm Be Good?
It’s good because unless we are uncomfortable, we will not make any changes in our lives and we will not grow. If we are uncomfortable enough, we will be forced to “Change” and if we “Change“, everything in our life will “Change”! As Gandhi said “Be The Change You Want To See In The World” 😛
Successful People Are Comfortable Being Uncomfortable
“Change is the only constant” – Issac Asimov. Successful people know that the only thing we know for sure is that there will always be “Change”. My mentors told me “Kellie, you must learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable because change is something you can count on”. Wow, that sounded scary to me! 😯 I was brought up to have a safe, secure job with a retirement and a mutual fund! 😆 As we all know today, those things I thought were safe, turned out to be the riskiest investments of my entire life! I am so grateful that in 1995, I listened to my heart instead of my mind and began my home based business.
The Fork In The Road Appeared
Once I started my home based business, I soon realized I was facing a “Fork In The Road” (click for post). I could stay on the “left road” and live my life as an employee who played it “comfortable” (risky today), or I could take the “right road” and start learning skills which would teach me to become an entrepreneur (freedom). Becoming an entrepreneur allowed us to learn “the same wind blows on all of us, the difference in arrival is the set of the sail” by Jim Rohn, one of our mentors.
First Steps To Moving Forward
The first step to moving forward is to be honest about where we are right now. We must be absolutely truthful with ourselves as we assess how we feel today. On a scale from 1-10, write down how happy you are in the following categories of your life:
1) Happiness/Joy
2) Career
3) Spirituality
4) Relationships (Family, Friends)
5) Health
6) Finances
Listen to a video where I take you through some exercises which will assist you to start moving forward:

Awesome post Kellie, and perfect timing!
The wave of change is here and sweeping us up by the handfuls to step into and be, and do what we’re called here to do. It’s an exciting time for change, and your post tells us that the first step is being overwhelmed and uncomfortable which is the point. It’s okay to change, especially when we have mentors and teachers to guide us, hold us, and nurture our wings!
I love change, and yes it IS a constant in my life!
Much love,
Shannon

Actually, my self-rating on those categories surprised me a little.
But the best part of doing this exercise is that it drags you right into the present ~ which is the best place to be.
And, as usual Ms Kellie, your timing is spot on!

What a timely post, Kellie! Yes, LET GO AND LET FLOW is the message that has been flowing in me lately…The more we resist, the more what we resist persists.
Thank you for the reminder and letting us know it is good to be uncomfortable and in overwhelm (comfortable is not the place to be anymore!) but to use these feelings as opportunities to change and get better.
In gratitude,
Deb

Hey Kellie, Great post. Funny that I’ve been working with a group that takes 5 minutes a day to just be in the moment! I’ve always believed that the universe is Chaos. I was featured in a book “Poltergiests and the Paranormal” about my Chaos Theory years ago. When you understand all that goes on … all in harmony and master that, you are in the chaos. It is like flowing waters. Sometimes it is calm and other times it is raging.
GO WITH THE FLOW is my motto.
Awesome post….Keep them coming!
Blessings,
Donna
