The Legacy Of Jim Rohn
One of my favorite mentors is Jim Rohn. He taught me “For Things To Change, I Had To Change. For Things To Get Better, I Had To Get Better“. This statement resonates within me each and every day. He reminded me over and over to “Work Harder On Yourself Than You Do In Your Job (career)“. These very wise words, when I finally took them very seriously, changed my life dramatically! I began to always say “Kellie, YOU have to change and YOU have to get better!”. So everyday, I do my best to get a little bit better. Every night when I look into the mirror, my goal is to say “Kellie, you did your best today, great job!”
Jim Rohn Philosophies:
Jim also taught me that my income is determined by my philosophy. Here are some philosophies Jim taught us:
1. Always do more than you get paid for to make an investment in your future.
2. Exercise your willpower to change direction. You don’t have to keep going the same way.
3. Admit your mistakes to others and yourself.
4. Believe in Yourself.
5. Ask for wisdom that creates answers. Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better.
6. Profits are better than wages. Wages make you a living, Profits make you a fortune.
7. Live with intensity. Put everything you’ve got into everything you do.
8. If you work on your gifts, they will make a place for you.
9. Demand integrity from Yourself. Demand loyalty from Yourself. Lead from the front.
10. Welcome the disciplines. Disciplines create reality, production and abundance.
Here’s words of wisdom from Jim Rohn on the Challenges to Pursue:
Yesterday, our mentor and friend, Jim Rohn transitioned to a better place. His legacy will live on within each and everyone of us. He has dedicated his whole life to teaching and mentoring millions of people around the world with his words of wisdom. Now it’s our turn to pass on Jim’s wisdom. “We go with you Jim, as we know you go with us.”

Mahalo Gigi! Yes, we all have a responsibility now to carry on Jim’s legacy. He contributed so much to all of us, now it’s our turn to deliver his message to the future generations. As Jim told us “they will be in the dark until you show them the light”. 🙂

Awesome post Kellie! Jim Rohn is one of my favorite mentors as well. Keeping his timeless wisdom alive and well within me is a regular and daily habit of mine. He knew our industry well and he knew Herbalife very well also, so we are fortunate to have two sides of the coin in our favor. Two of my favorite quotes from Jim that took me from despair and onto a journey of personal growth were these two: “We can have more than we’ve got because we can become more than we are.” and “Unless you change how you are, you will always have what you got.”
These two quotes, although I didn’t understand it at that time, gave me hope. It set a magical spark in my heart that said, there is more to life than just this. And so here I am! Thanks to Jim Rohn!
Great post Kellie, and thank you for carrying on the timeless wisdom of Jim in ALL that YOU ARE, ALL that YOU DO, and ALL the YOU’VE BECOME!
Love you much,
Shannon 🙂

Mahalo Shannon! Thank you so very much! What a beautiful tribute you just paid to Jim. He is smiling at You. 🙂
Yes, he taught us well and you will teach others so that generations will repeat his philosophy.
Thank you for the compliment. I am open to receiving. The reminder for you is that you can only see in others what is a reflection of yourself!! :))

Thanks for sharing Kellie! My favorite quote: “For things to change, I have to change and for things to better better, I have to get better”. When I first heard it, I thought i understood what it meant. Not until a few years later when I truly can say…I understood.

Thank you for the comment Cheryl! Yes, that’s my favorite Jim quote too! And yes, you have changed and you are an incredible leader today. 🙂

Please accept this critique in the vein given, as it appears your motives are to help people. I was exposed to your ‘Science & Spirituality section, however inappropriatly for the thread, through the LinkedIn ‘Crowdsourcing Discussion Group’. I found it to be an amazing juxtaposition of science, new agism, and mystic type philosophy. The entire series was fundamentaly a smattering of the paradox of Schrodinger’s Cat (duality of quantum states) dressed up as duality of realities, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle (how the measurement of a system alters the certainty of quantum position in space-time) dressed up as our consciousness literally making up our reality as we go along, and overly broad interpretations of predominantly Eastern philosophy and mysticism in a poor attempt to explain phenomenolism (the reduction of physical objects in the external world to bundles of sense-data) within the context of epistemology (the philosophy concerning the.nature and scope of knowledge). One point that seemed to be a ‘bedrock’ principle was that there is no reality without consciousness. Both empirically and philosophically this ‘bedrock’ tenant does not hold true. Empirically, as with the paradox of Schrodinger’s cat, reality CAN exist in simulataneous dualities or as a singulairy, as in quantum mechanics, and there is nothing to say that reality MUST have consciousness to exist. Philosophically, especially in Ontology, which studies the determination of whether some categories of being are fundamental, there is no requirement for reality to exist soley based on its being brought into existence by thought. Indeed, Descartes said “Cogito ergo sum” (I think therefore I am), which may have been better said “Cogito ergo cogito sum” (I think therefore I THINK I am.) I hope this well explains my thoughts. Thanks for the forum.

Aloha Tim,
I am so happy to see your comments on our blog Tim! Thank you for taking the time to review our Science & Spirituality section. For our readers, Tim is referring to the 4 part posts: https://kelliehosaka.com/what-is-spiritual-awakening-how-does-it-relate-to-my-business-pt-1/
I love your reference to Descartes and I agree with you. Whatever we think and believe really is…in our holographic world anyway.
Thanks Tim for your incredible knowledge! Gosh I love it! Aloha 🙂
